Vanit Dhaliwal, Head Teacher Upstairs

I am Vanit Dhaliwal: Education has been my passion for as long as I remember. I hold a Bachelor of Science in General Science, Master of Science in Zoology and a Bachelor of Education from Punjabi University, Patiala, India. In 1991 I married and joined my husband in the UK where I continued adding teaching credentials by taking further teaching courses and classroom placements in West London. My family moved in 1996 to wonderful San Diego due to my husband's work as a wireless engineer. We have two children, a boy and girl who are now teenagers. When they were young they went to a Montessori school in Encinitas and I became intrigued with the Montessori Education system. After they were promoted to the first grade I began teaching again and after one year joined MCDC in 2003. I have had the privilege of teaching and interning with the wonderful Master Montessori teachers Angela and Dulce while I completed my Montessori Certification. Now a head teacher myself and I took over the upstairs class, when Dulce retired. I am an American Montessori Society certified teacher and am proud to work with your children. When I see the smiles on your children's faces it makes my day. |
