Wow... Where to start! I have worked at MCDC off and on for the past 8 years! I actually started as the Office Administrator. We joke that I have done about every Job there is at MCDC at one time or another!! My husband and I even cleaned all the carpets one year. But it’s such a great place I just can’t stay away!! For the past few years I have been a substitute, helping out when a teacher was out. Being introduced to Montessori through my work at MCDC came at the perfect time, Elisabeth, my first, began attending at 2 and a half! I became pregnant with Natalie and soon she also was able to come! Elisabeth attended for 4 years and Natalie for 3! We sacrificed, and commuted from Lakeside to Poway even in times when I was not working at MCDC to give them the best start and it was WELL WORTH IT!! They are now 8 and 10 and continue to impress their teachers with their love of learning! I am forever grateful for Marijane, Angela and all the staff here that invest so much in our kids!! Now, a bit more about me! I have an Associate of Arts Degree and have 12 units of Early Childhood Education. My original educational direction was architecture. However, after having my first child, my desire changed! The education and emotional development of children became my fascination and passion! I am currently working on a Montessori Toddler Distance Course to become a Montessori Toddler teacher. Outside of MCDC I teach a Kindergarten Sunday School class, and I also run a home business as well selling candles. I enjoy singing, art, photography, and travel! My Husband, Robert and I have been married for the past 13 years and he also loves MCDC! I am currently also about to become a Gestational Surrogate for a couple in Spain. It’s a new adventure, and we’re excited about what is ahead! SO you may see me growing in midsection very soon!! Returning to MCDC at Little Hands with Nuccia this year is exciting! The toddlers are SOOO much fun. Each and every personality is so unique and they make us smile every day with cute things they say! It’s going to be a great year! |
