Dulce Bartolome, Head Teacher Upstairs

My name is Dulce Bartolome. I took my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education in a very prestigious university in the Philippines, The National Teachers University. Then I taught for 18 years, a very good teaching experience with children from grades 1st to 5th. As I was teaching I was also studying masters units in Elementary Education.

Then my husband and two young sons moved to the U.S.A. leaving everything behind. Luckily, I was accepted as a teachers aid in North Hollywood, CA, where I studied the Montessori Method of Teaching. When we transferred to San Diego I worked in Scripps Montessori School. I started working at MCDC and 3 of my 4 grandchildren have gone through MCDC. Our family moved to Poway and we have been here ever since.

I love teaching children. Being with them, day in and day out makes my life very fulfilling and happy.

I am very proud to have been at MCDC for 24 years. This school is the very best and I consider it my second home. Miss Marijane and I have become like sisters.
