M.C.D.C. Country Camp 2012
June 11th - August 9th

SPECIAL SUMMER THEME:

“Real Heroes: Helping Develop Character”

We invite you to enroll your 3-7 year old child in our exciting,
educating and entertaining summer program!
All children no matter how young
will be involved in the exciting
M.C.D.C. Country Camp 2012

Activities will include:

One of the students favorites... Sleep over night

Each year in summer camp the children have a school sleep over. Children never forget this wonderful event-- letting the ladybugs go in the garden, watching the stars, listening to the night sounds, hearing stories around the "camp fire", getting into their PJs brushing their teeth and snuggling in to their sleeping bags for a good night's sleep. When they awake in the morning everyone is ready for breakfast, putting away their things and it is time to go home. In 30 years we have had only 2 or 3 children who were reluctant. They are all well prepared and have a wonderful time.

We will have a different subject each week.Emily Post

Each week we will offer a variety of arts & crafts, science& cooking projects, and painting based on entertaining themes which coincide with the activities each week. Activities also include swimming, specialty sports, and more!

Five days a week we offer a variety of programs that allow children to explore science, nature, history, geography, create music, arts and crafts projects: learn skills through, cooking, specialty sports, and swimming lessons. (provided a swimming instructor is available), and snacks. (full day students bring lunch, half day students no lunch)

Instruction and guidance are individualized, according to the Montessori philosophy. The atmosphere is non-competitive and planned with careful regard for each child's personal sense of dignity. Classes are ungraded, so children participate in activities suited to their own developmental level. Arbitrary age norms are not applied, and no child is forced into an activity if he or she is not ready or is nItsot interested and able. This concept fosters a positive self concept, self-motivation and genuine enthusiasm for learning.
